What is 24 hour Banking?
It is our free, automated telephone banking service that
enables you to obtain account information such as current
balance and transaction history, transfer funds between
your accounts, make loan payments from your deposit accounts,
and obtain information such as CD and Deposit rates.
Whether you are on vacation, or driving down the road
in your automobile, you are able to call our telephone
banking system to access your account information. No
enrollment is necessary, just enter your account number
and create your own PIN and you are on your way.

What is online Banking?
Online Banking is a free service that enables you to access
account information, check balances, view transaction history,
view bank statements, and even transfer funds between your
accounts using the internet.

What is Bill Pay?
Bill Pay is a feature you can add to online banking that enables you to conveniently pay your bills without having to write a check.

Can I request a copy of a cancelled check?
We still return cancelled checks with your monthly statements.
However, if necessary, you can request a copy of a check
by calling one of our offices. There may be a fee associated
with this service

What happens if I lose or forget my Login ID or
PIN?
If you lose your Login ID, you may contact our office, and
with proper identification, your ID will be given to you.
If you lose or forget your PIN, you may call us and a new
PIN will be generated and mailed to you.

What is a Payee?
A payee is anyone to whom you would pay a bill or send a
check. The most common payees include utility companies,
your landlord, mortgage company, department stores, and
credit card companies. Payees also can include individuals
such as the person who mows the lawn, the local grocery
store, and your favorite charitable organization.

Whom can I pay through online Bill Pay?
You can pay anyone in the United States such as the next
door neighbor, the utility company, the bank, or even a
child in college across the country.

Are there any merchants that I cannot pay through
the Bill Payment service?
No. Any merchant that is on the Online Resource's Database
can be paid electronically. If a merchant is not on the
list, the payment may be sent as a check. Make sure that
you enter your merchant account number exactly the way it
appears on your bill. If you choose a merchant on the electronic
database that requires an address match, choose the correct
remittance address listed on your bill.

How many payees may I have set up?
You may have up to 99 payees that you can set up through
the internet banking system.
|
Can I edit payee addresses?
No, you will need to set up a new vendor/merchant with the
correct address and delete the old one.
|
When will the money be taken out of my account?
For an Electronic Payment, funds are debited the same day
that the payment is sent, providing it is sent by 12:00
noon CST. Electonic payments submitted after 12:00 noon
are debited the next day during bill pay processing.
Payments made by writing a check are debited from the
account when the check clears your account at the bank.

What if I do not have enough money in my account?
Check payments are handled in the same maner as a check written out of your checkbook against an insufficient balance.
Electronic payments are verified for funds availability during processing. If the funds are available, the account that you selected for the payment will be debited and the information
sent on to the payee. If the funds are not available, the payment will not be processed and you will receive a message to inform you that the payment could not be sent due to
insufficient funds. Each day the payment will be resubmitted for you until either you delete the payment or the funds are in the account to make the payment.

Can I setup recurring payments?
Yes, you can set up recurring payments in any of the following
frequencies:
Weekly
Bi-Weekly
Monthly
Semi-monthly
Quarterly
Semi-annually
Annually

How late in the day can I add, edit, or delete
a payment?
You may add, edit, or delete a payment up to 2:00 a.m. CST
on the day the payment is scheduled to be sent. If a same
day payment is submitted between 2:00 a.m. CST and Noon
CST it may be edited up until Noon CST.

What happens if I have scheduled a payment that falls over a weekend or holiday?
If a scheduled payment falls on a holiday or weekend, it
will be paid on the Friday before the weekend, or the last
working day before the holiday.

Will the memo field that I fill out when setting up a payment be passed on to the merchant?
No. The memo field is for your personal records. However
the account number that you enter when you add the payee
to your Payee List is printed on the check. This allows
the payee to know which account to apply the payment to.

How long is history retained in the View Payment History section?
Payment history records are kept for 18 months.
|
What is the Due Date?
The due date is the day your payment must be received by
the payee, not including your grace period. The due date
is usually located on the bill you receive in the mail from
the payee.

How far in advance should I set up a payment to insure it is paid on time?
For electronic payments, allow three (3) business days from
when the payment is submitted.
For a Check payment, the check will be in the mail on the same day the payment is submitted before 2:00 a.m. CST processing. If the check payment is entered
before 12:00 Noon CST, the check will be mailed the following morning. Allow five (5) to seven (7) business days for a check payment.

How do I know if a payee is electronic or check?
When you set up the payee, then you can look at the View
Payees screen and you will see a field that will tell
you if the vendor is electronic or check.

Are there any minimum or maximum payment amounts?
Yes. The minimum amount you may make a payment for is $0.01 and the maximum amount can be up to $99,999.00.

What is the 'Scheduled Date'?
The scheduled date is the day you would like Grant County State Bank's Online Banking to start the process of sending your money to the payee.

How far in advance can I schedule payments?
You may schedule payments up to 90 days in advance of the first due date. Recurring payments can have an end date of any year in the future.
|
Can I have multiple payments to the same payee on the same day?
Yes. You can make multiple payments to the same payee as
long as the payment amounts are different. For your protection,
the system will not pay duplicate items in the same day.

Can I stop payment
Yes. You will need to call one of our offices for assistance.
|
On the Payment History page, what does the "Status" field indicate?
The following is a table of the available status values
